These simple, no fuss cookies are the perfect bite size treat when you are craving something delicious with no refined sugar. The importance of cutting out processed foods and refined sugar is an essential part of cleaning up your pre conception diet. Although I believe in limiting sugar when trying to conceive, I do believe in BALANCE. We are not robot's who lead a perfect diet and lifestyle 100% of the time. I truly believe if you are eating a healthy, well balanced diet 80% of the time you can have those treats we crave from time to time.

It is hard to find sweet treats without hidden sugars in the supermarket and most ‘healthy’ recipes somehow find a sweetener of some sort creeping in. Normally tablespoons of honey or maple syrup. Although honey and maple syrup are natural sugars, excess can cause blood sugar levels to spike and an insulin reaction, which in turns impacts our fertility.
These cookies are the perfect treat for you chocaholics to help curb and satisfy your sugar cravings. They are simple to make, not processed, gluten free and have no hidden sugary ingredients, only 5 ingredients to be precise. I have used 85% dark chocolate but you can replace with raisins if you prefer. A little dark chocolate is a good source of antioxidants.
Nutrients: B vitamins, Fiber, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Omega 3, Vitamins E.
